In 2019, The Block was shot in the popular beachside suburb of St Kilda in Melbourne, where the contestants had to take on the huge task of converting the Oslo Hostel into five luxury flats.

The contestants of popular Australian TV show The Block faced their biggest building challenge ever in 2019, when they set out to convert the delapitaded Oslo Hostel in Melbourne, into luxury flats. On several occasions during the show, it looked like the contestants would not be able to finish the build, as their budgets ran dry and their tempers high, but the end result is truly impressive. We invite you to discover the winning design of the 2019 edition, created by contestants Tess and Luke.

A home lift is a must-have for any luxury residence. Here, a space-saving platform lift is placed inside the staircase to provide easy access to all floors of the house.

warm and vibrant colours for the bedroom

The bedroom is decorated with rich colours and soft, georgeous fabrics for a warm and cosy feel. To make the room even more inviting, the floor is fitted with a soft carpet.

Before the 2019 edition of the TV show, the Oslo Hostel was just an old, delapidated building in a nice neighbourhood. Today, the building is completely refurbished, and home to five, highly desirable luxury flats. All of the flats feature an elegant and space-saving Cibes A5000 platform lift to offer premium everyday comfort. The open-plan kitchen and living room features a large kitchen island and a bespoke skylight. The dark, sumpteous wood ties the room together, adding warmth and a touch of drama.

The floating staircase in dark wood looks absolutely spectacular and works well with the dark hardwood floors. To save space, the home lift is fitted at the centre of the staircase.
