Do you know how to buy a home lift? If not, that is not surprising at all, because most people only acquire one residential elevator in their life-time. That is why we have created our Lift Buyer’s Guide explaining the process of purchasing a residential lift in 8 easy steps. Check out our step-by-step guide and start your journey towards the perfect lift for your home today!
Understanding how you want your lift to fit into your home and lifestyle, is the first step to finding the perfect home lift solution. Your needs should determine what type of home lift you choose rather than other factors like available space and budget constraints. Our home lifts come in a wide range of sizes to fit into incredibly small and narrow spaces. And, if you cannot find enough room for a lift inside your home, we also offer outdoor lift solutions. When it comes to reducing your lift price, there are many ways to adapt the configuration of your lift to make it fit into your budget.
To get you started, we have created a preparation checklist for you:
Just answer these questions and you will be well on your way to getting the perfect home lift!
When you plan to buy a home lift, you will need to make a lot of decisions. To get advice on the best lift solution for you and your family, you can always contact your local Cibes dealer to book a free home visit or visit our local showroom, no strings attached. Our trained lift professionals will advise you on the best choice of lift model and configuration for your home, budget and requirements.
Designing your lift is usually the most enjoyable part of the process. This is the moment when you get the chance to create the perfect lift for your home and your family. Our wide range of colours and materials gives you the freedom to design a lift that will blend in seamlessly into your interior.
Not sure about what lift design you want? Ask your closest Cibes dealer for advice, or try out different designs and colours in our Lift Configurator.
Our advisors can provide you with an estimated price span over the phone within minutes, but the final price of a lift depends on a number of factors. Your choice of lift model, colour, and accessories are just a few examples of what will influence the lift price, so it is a good idea to think that through before you ask for a quotation. A quotation request is always without obligation and your Cibes dealer will be happy to provide several quotations so you can compare the price difference between different configurations.
In addition to the expense of purchasing the lift, it is important to consider the related costs, such as building costs, maintenance costs and energy costs. Click on the button to learn more about the price of a home lift.
Do you have everything you need? Your Cibes dealer will help you check your order, but you need to double-check it to make sure that you are happy with the specification. Once the order is approved, changes to the specification will increase the lift price and delay delivery.
Your Cibes dealer will handle all the contacts with our factory and also assist you in getting the planning permission. All you need to do is to approve the final lift specification and drawings for the manufacturing to start.
As soon as you have approved your lift order and drawings, the manufacturing will start. Given that our manufacturing time generally is short, it is good to plan ahead!
The necessary building preparations will vary, but are much less extensive than for conventional lifts. Contact your local Cibes dealer for more information.
Your Cibes dealer will book the transport and make sure that your lift delivery goes smoothly. How soon the lift can be delivered, depends on where in the world you live. Our lifts are made in Sweden and the manufacturing time is generally about 4-10 weeks. Your Cibes dealer will provide you with more information.
Depending on your agreement, the lift will be delivered to your Cibes dealer or directly to your doorstep. Either way, you do not need to do anything, your Cibes dealer will make sure that all transport arrangements are taken care of.
Now the time has come to install your lift. Unlike conventional elevators, installing a Cibes lift will not transform your home into a dusty building site for weeks on end. In most cases, it is possible to install your Cibes home lift in as little as 2-3 days! Thanks to our space-saving, ready-made lift concept, installing our lifts causes minimal disruption to your everyday life.
All Cibes lifts are CE type certified and compliant with all relevant European Safety Standards. Once your home lift is installed, your Cibes dealer will perform a safety check of your lift to make sure that it is working properly and is safe for you and your family to use. A safety checklist is sent to our factory and we issue a CE Certificate of Conformity.
In some countries, a safety inspection by a third party is mandatory. If that is the case, your Cibes dealer will book the lift inspection.
The moment you have been waiting for is here – your lift is ready to use! As soon as the lift installation is checked and cleared, you and your family have a home lift to enjoy for many years.
However, it is important to make sure that your lift runs properly and is safe for you and your family to use, also for the foreseeable future. Just like a car, a home lift needs regular technical check ups and maintenance to be in good shape. That is why we always advise you to sign a maintenance contract with your Cibes dealer. Do you want to find out more? Talk to you Cibes dealer about our different types of maintenance contracts.
